Ellesse has just announced a new global design competition for upcoming and established artists and designers. Participants are asked to create a piece of design that commemorates the brand’s 50th anniversary in 2009. Source of inspiration is the ellesse rich Italian heritage and sporting roots in tennis. Think of tailoring, pleats and stripes from the archive. But also refer to the ellesse logo and the strong iconography through the decades – the calendar tennis girls and the iconic ads.
