adidas Originals has reunited with London’s untouchable PALACE Skateboards for a brand new SS16 collaborative collection of street-configured sportswear classics and streetwear necessities. True to PALACE’s penchant for street apparel essentials, the collection takes things back to the early days. The collaboration comes with a slew of 90s sportswear elements including packable jackets, reflective piping details and towel textile constructions. Standout pieces include a Printed Jacket with a towel-loop print, hydrophilic tracksuits and reconfigured Track Tops loaded with nostalgic football design perspectives. A clean range of lightweight bottoms, short and long-sleeved polo’s and engineered tees round out the collection with wardrobe essentials, whilst accessories include a drawstring bag, caps and THE summer staple beach towel. Essential to any adidas Originals by PALACE collaboration, the accompanying footwear stays true to form with the return of the instant-classic PALACE Pro and PALACE Pro Primeknit silhouettes. Constructed from a premium perforated suede, the Pro channels the three-stripes’ iconic City Series with a pair of referential colourways in Navy/White and Black/Orange/Gum, whilst the Primeknit counterparts get a wildcard treatment in Teal/White and Orange/White iterations. As always, it’s classic three-stripes style with an inimitable PALACE aesthetic.
