En devenant l’équipementier officiel des champions du Tour de France, partenaire de la Vuelta, de Paris-Nice ou encore du fameux Paris – Roubaix – entre autres, le coq sportif revient à ses premières amours. Le nouveaux maillot jaune du Tour de France mélange subtilement authenticité et modernité, en respectant la tradition de l’utilisation des initiales « HD » d’Henri Desgrange – le fondateur du Tour en 1903, placées à droite, à côté de l’incontournable logo « le Tour de France ». L’équipementier tricolore inaugure aussi ici son nouveau logo sport performance, signant le retour du coq sur l’iconique jersey. Dessiné par le designer Ron Arad, le nouveau logo inspire dynamisme et élégance. Il quitte le triangle pour s’épanouir sur les prochaines gammes de produits sport performance le coq sportif. Le positionnement des logos est directement inspiré du maillot de 1972 porté par Eddy Merckx. La couleur jaune, si symbolique, est sublimée par une matière texturée. Ultime référence au partenariat franco français, un label tricolore marque le col du maillot. Au dos sont placées trois larges poches cousues, auxquelles s’ajouteront deux poches latérales « écologiques », recueillant les déchets des coureurs, afin de garantir la propreté des belles routes de France.
To mark its 130th anniversary, le coq sportif is sponsoring the Tour de France. As official supplier of the leaders’ jerseys for the Tour de France and partner of the Vuelta, the Paris-Nice and the famous Paris-Roubaix, among others, le coq sportif is going back to its first love. The 2012 yellow jersey is a subtle blend of authenticity and modernity. The clean lines, sleeves which end above the elbow and soft stitched collarare inspired by le coq sportif’s very first jerseys, featuring rib trimming from the 1951 Tour. Tradition is respected with the inclusion of the initials “HD”, in tribute to Henri Desgrange, who founded the Tour in 1903. They are positioned on the right, next to the infamous « le Tour de France » logo. The French sportswear supplier marks the cockerel’s return to the iconic jersey, with the unveiling of the brands new performance sport logo. The new logo, by designer Ron Arad, evokes dynamism and style. It has left the triangle behind and will stand proud as it is featured on the new ranges of le coq sportif performance sport product, which have a bright future ahead of them. The positioning of each of the logos is directly inspired by the 1972 jersey, won for the fourth year running by Eddy Merckx. This hugely symbolic yellow colour is emphasised by a textured material. The final reference to the Franco-French partnership is a tricolour label on the jersey collar. There are three large pockets sewn into the back of the jersey, in addition to two side green pockets for the racers’ rubbish, to ensure that the beautiful roads of France are kept tidy.
