A l’occasion de la Semaine du design qui s’est déroulée du 11 au 18 avril à Milan, Dsquared² a participé à l’exposition de Kartell célébrant la Grandeur de Milan, berceau du design Italien depuis les années 50. Dean et Dan Caten, on décidé de prendre part à cet évènement en acceptant un challenge créatif. Kartell a demandé aux artistes de revisiter une pièce culte de leur collection. Les Canadiens ont choisit de réinterpréter la Master Chair de Philippe Stark, mélangeant ainsi l’essence milanaise aux racines canadiennes.

In occasion of the Design Week held from April 11 to 18 in Milan, Dsquared² will participate in a special project sponsored by Kartell: a special exhibition event paying tribute to the city of Milan, cradle of Italian design since the fifties. Dean and Dan Caten, the designers of Dsquared², decided to join this ambitious initiative accepting the creative challenge proposed by Kartell. The brand asked famous native celebrities and artists to revisit a cult piece of their collections. The Canadian designers chose to reinterpret Kartell’s Masters Chair by Philippe Starck, blending Milanese
essentiality with Canadian roots.
